October Project: Class Recipe Book
"Healthy Snack Recipe"
Dear Parents,
In honour of our learning surrounding healthy eating in Health this month, each child in our class will need to complete a “Healthy Snack” recipe on the template provided.
To make this project extra special, we are asking that every student prepare a sample of their snack to share and discuss with the class on the day of their presentation (see presentation schedule below).
The goal of this project is to expose children to a variety of healthy snacks during a month that is otherwise associated with sweet treats.
Please remember that ALL RECIPES MUST BE NUT-FREE. In addition, please be sensitive to the fact that some students in Room 6 also have the following allergies so be sure to CLEARLY IDENTIFY your ingredients if they may contain either of the following:
- ANY KIND OF FISH
- OMEGA 3 EGGS (except in baked goods)
